This is a well studied and amazing tool for healing chronic musculoskeletal disease in pets. Shockwaves are simply targeted sound waves that provide a mechanical stress to treated tissues at specific depths.
This therapy triggers a cascade of the bodies own healing responses that often continues for months after a course of treatment. An initial course often involves 6-8 therapy sessions.
Shockwave can be used with EMTT to enhance effects even further than either treatment alone.
