Meet the heart behind BARC

OUR TEAM

Sophie Currie

Lead Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRP)

Sophie Currie, a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP), graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2022. Before transitioning into rehabilitation, Sophie was a passionate surgical veterinary nurse with over 15 years of experience. Seeing the growing need for physical rehabilitation in the veterinary field, she founded BARC to provide pets and their owners with the specialised care they deserve.

Sophie leads the practice with expertise and passion, managing the day-to-day operations and providing dedicated care to every animal that walks through the door.

Kirsten Beaumont

Kirsten joins our team as a part-time Hydrotherapist, bringing with her 14 years of experience as a veterinary nurse, along with experience in practice management. Her extensive clinical background gives her a strong understanding of patient care, rehabilitation, and client support.

Kirsten has developed a true passion for hydrotherapy and enjoys helping pets improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life. She is a qualified hydrotherapist and is Fear Free Level 3 accredited, ensuring every patient is handled with compassion and minimal stress.

With her caring, kind, and fear-free approach, Kirsten is a wonderful addition to our team, and we are delighted to have her supporting our patients on their rehabilitation journey.
