Laser Therapy at BARC
Bounce Animal Rehabilitation Centre has two Class 4 laser machines. Our latest powerful 25 Watt laser unit having the advantage of a direct skin contact applicator that can compress tissue for deeper more complete laser light penetration.
Our high-intensity level 4 lasers utilise invisible near-infrared and infrared light of specific therapeutic wavelengths to achieve a biological effect called Photobiomodulation. The laser light energy penetrates into tissues, effectively addressing pain, inflammation, and tissue repair. Laser therapy is particularly useful for managing osteoarthritis, expediting wound healing, reducing post-operative pain and swelling, alleviating muscle and tendon inflammation, and managing conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia, back pain, degenerative spinal disease, and degenerative myelopathy. The treatment is comfortable, providing a gentle warming sensation, and most pets, including cats, enjoy the experience.
